The Complete AP Vergil Vocabulary in the Palm of Your Hand

These 587 vocabulary cards allow students an easy way to memorize Latin vocabulary words that appear five or more times in the AP Vergil syllabus selections. The cards are divided into three groups: (1) words occurring 15 or more times, (2) words occurring 9–14 times, and (3) words occurring 5–8 times.

Students can memorize Latin to English or English to Latin, and use the cards to help them memorize the full lexical forms of the Latin vocabulary words. These cards make vocabulary review a breeze!

Also included is a printable PDF document for full-page cards. Installation Instructions for iPod/media player using iTunes

For PC Users:

BEFORE YOU BEGIN: If you do not have iTunes installed on your PC, download and install the free software from itunes.com.

Right-click on the VergilCards.zip file you downloaded and extract the files to your “iTunes Photos” directory on your PC. This directory is normally found in your “My Documents” folder.

NOTE: If you do not have an “iTunes Photos” directory, you will need to create one.

Open the “My Documents” folder. Right-click inside the folder and choose “New” and then “Folder”. Name the folder “iTunes Photos” (without the quotes).

Once the files are extracted to your PC, connect your iPod/media player to your computer. Your device will sync with iTunes and will upload the vocabulary cards.

Depending on the speed of your connection and other data that you might be synching, the upload may take approximately five minutes.

NOTE: Download times will vary if you have an older computer or a dial-up Internet connection.

When the photos have finished uploading, iTunes will display a “sync complete” message.

For Mac Users:

BEFORE YOU BEGIN: If you do not have iTunes installed on your Mac, download and install the free software from itunes.com. You will also need iPhoto version 4 (or higher) installed on your Macintosh.

Double-click on the VergilCards.zip file you downloaded and import the files to your iPhoto directory on your Macintosh.

Once the files are extracted to your Mac, connect your iPod/media player to your computer. Your device will sync with iTunes and will upload the vocabulary cards.

Depending on the speed of your connection and other data that you might be synching, the upload may take approximately five minutes.

When the photos have finished uploading, iTunes will display a “sync complete” message.

How to Use the Vocabulary Cards on your iPod/media player

Once your vocabulary cards are uploaded to your iPod/media player, you can view them on a by-frequency basis.

From the menu, use your Click Wheel to select “Photos”.

Select the cards grouped by frequency that you would like to review.

When the cards appear, click the center button to begin your review.

Use your Next/Fast-forward or Previous/Rewind buttons to move between the cards.

When you have finished viewing the cards for a specific frequency of usage, press the Menu button twice to return to the list of Vergil cards.

NOTE: For iPod users, customize how you view the cards by using your iPod’s Settings feature to select time-per-slide (card) and repeat (on or off). If you are using a device other than an iPod, consult its user’s manual for instructions on configuring slide-show settings.

Installation Instructions for Mobile Phones

If your mobile phone has the ability to display pictures, you may choose to upload your vocabulary cards to it. As many mobile phones and carriers use different software to connect your computer to your phone for uploading and downloading media, please consult your carrier for detailed instructions on how to upload photos to your phone.
